Selective Homes by: Chad & Dad has been building new homes in the Evansville area since 1972 when it was just Selective Homes and was started by Walter and Beverly Van Zilen. Our attention to detail has helped us win several awards over the years in the Southwestern Indiana Builder Associations Parade of Homes including: Home of the Year, Best Bath, Best Kitchen, Best Interior, and Best Exterior. This year our parade house was awarded Best Interior,Best Kitchen, and Best Bath. This is the fourth year in a row we have won Best Interior for our work.

To ensure that the job is done to our high standards, we work on the site everyday. We do everything from pouring the footings, laying the tile, to trimming the house. Through doing as much as possible, we are able to save you money as well as build a great house that you will be proud to call home.

All of our homes are built to be energy efficient. This is done by using R-30 insulation in the ceilings along with Carrier's Infinity heating and cooling systems. All of our houses feature a humidifier to prevent them from becoming too dry during the winter months. We also use the Manabloc Manifold Plumbing System in all of our houses. This system has several energy saving features including cuting your water bill by as much as 50%.

When you visit one of our homes you will notice we add several features that you will not find everywhere else. We make yearly trips to Chicago, Indianapolis, St. Louis, and to Las Vegas for the national builders convention. By searching for new ideas locally and by traveling to other areas of the country to attend home shows and new product shows, we are able to build you a new home featuring the latest trends in home design.
